Elsie passed away on August 19, 2022, with her family by her side at Campbellford Memorial Hospital in her 86th year.

She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her daughter Ivy (Sharky), and sons Colin (Tracey)and Scott (Beverly).

Dear sister of Betty (Bill) and John (Margaret), and the late Bert (Vi) and Margaret (Bill).

Caring and forever thankful to brother-in-in law and sister-in-law Alistair and Elizabeth (Betty) McGregor.

Elsie was a cherished Granny to Iain (Leah), Regan (Paul), Carissa (Josh), Madison (Collin), Jake (Sara), Emma (Kyrsten), Dylan (Bianca) and a loving GG to the wonderful Ziya, Onyx and Alice.

Elsie will now be reunited with her husband Jim who passed away in 1974.

Elsie led both an ordinary and extraordinary life, immigrating as a young mother from Scotland to Canada originally living on Toronto Island and eventually settling her family in North Bay where she enjoyed a decades long career with the original Food City, making an impact with her sincere care and supportive leadership.

She lived over 30 years at Sovereign Court Condominiums, spending many of those as treasurer on the board of directors.

In her retirement Elsie enjoyed the company of friends and family, excursions to the casino, watching golf, tennis and curling and on occasion a glass of wine, maybe two.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all staff at Mapleview Retirement Home in Norwood for the wonderful life they gave our mom over the past 16 months as well as Campbellford Memorial Hospital who made her final days so comfortable. Any donations can be made to these institutions.

A private family interment will be held at Terrace Lawn Cemetery in North Bay with a Celebration of Life to follow at the 406 RCAF wing, 406 1st Avenue 2-5 pm September 24, 2022
