McCORKELL, Lynda Gail (Jackson)

Surrounded by family Lynda fought the good fight against cancer. She passed peacefully, on Wednesday May 3rd, 2006 at the St. Catharines General Hospital, at 58 years of age. Lynda will be greatly missed by John Rogers, the love of her life, stepdaughter Lesley Stamper (Alex) and Carole Rogers, Nana to Kieran, Mackenzie, Emma, Devan, Megan, John and Aaron. Loving sister of Peter Jackson (Louise) and Joanne Weegar (Mike). Special Aunt to Kristine and Ashley. Also survived by her Uncle Moore and cousins Susan, Peter, Alan, Steve and Jim. Predeceased by her parents Alan and Dorothy Jackson of North Bay.



Lynda was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 350 and Deputy Zone Commander Zone B5. She will be sadly missed by her friends and colleagues at Garden City Remax. Lynda was a board member of OREA and the Niagara Real Estate Board.



All services will be held at St. Columba Anglican Church, 7 Columba Dr., St. Catharines. Visitation Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with a legion service being held Friday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment will be held at St. John's Anglican Cemetery, Jordan.



The family would prefer donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Poppy Fund Br. 350 RCL or the Brick Fund Br. 350 RCL. Arrangements entrusted to GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL.



The family offer a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the St. Catharines General Hospital and the Shaver Hospital.
