Passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Thursday, February 6, 2020, he just had his 76
th birthday. Beloved husband of Diane Mathieu (nee Denis) of North Bay. Cherished father of Nicole Dengis (Terry) of Calgary and Paul Mathieu of North Bay. Proud grandfather of Mason & Aurora Mathieu of North Bay. Lovingly remembered by his siblings Therese Mathieu, Orval Mathieu (Emelda), Ron Mathieu (Jane) and Pauline Beaudry (Gaetan). Roger is predeceased by his parents Lionel & Helene Mathieu and his brother Joseph. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Roger loved spending time with his family, friends and grandchildren. He enjoyed playing cards, playing golf with friends on Thursday morning at Osprey Links and playing with his 2 brother in law Guy & Peter in a scramble Tournament. The family would like to thank the staff on A3 and Dr. Lukomska at the North Bay Regional Health Centre for their excellent care. Cremation has taken place at Forrest Lawn Crematorium and there will be a celebration for Roger in the spring of 2020. If desired, donations to the Northern Cancer Research would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements are entrusted to Basic Cremation Service.
