Mary Belle Brazeau (Mickey)

Passed away at Cassellhome, North Bay on Sunday January 23, 2011, with her family at her side. Predeceased by her husband Donat (Don) Brazeau 1996, her parents John and Christina (Ormiston) McLeod, her siblings Donald McLeod, Flora (Flo) Duffy, Christina McLeod, Edna McLelland, Kenneth McLeod, Lorna Lariviere and Winnif red Cook. Mickey was born in Nipissing Junction in 1920, worked in Whitby as a young girl for several years before Joining the RCAF in Ottawa for the duration of World War II. She then returned to North Bay and worked for Bell Canada for 37 years. She was a dedicated sports fan, especially for her beloved Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs. She enthusiastically supported all athletics in North Bay and above all was very proud to be a Canadian. She leaves behind nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great- nephews. A special thanks to all the staff on Apple Street at Cassellhome for their uncompromising care and compassion. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Martyn Funeral Home with visitation Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11:30 am. Cremation to follow at the Forest Lawn Crematorium.
