MARSHALL, Anita (Burns)

Monday, November 28, 2005 at the Extendicare York at the age of 89. Beloved wife of Gerry Marshall predeceased May 13, 2005. Loving mother of Clifford (wife Denise) of North Bay, Linda (husband Jim Carrey) of Azilda and Bill (wife Kim) of Edmonton. Cherished grandmother of Tamara, Shannon, James (wife Aprile), Cortney, Richard and three great-granddaughters. Dear sister of Erbena, Olga, Silvia and Dr. Bruce Cronk, predeceased by Bob (wife Florence), Victor, Raymond (wife Barbara) and Earl. Anita loved people, she worked for years at Loblaws and then with the Mary Marg Shop. She was a cancer society canvasser and life member of the U.C.W. and St. James in the Valley United Church. She and Gerry enjoyed travelling to Las Vegas, the Bahamas and Hawaii, their happiest summers were spent at the cottage on Lake Geneva, where she served as secretary for the Cottagers Association. Anita loved to spend time with her grandchildren, watching the fall leaves and the trilliums or simply in her canoe with the call of the Loons. Friends may call today after 10 a.m. Funeral service in the Lougheed Funeral Home, Val Caron/Blezard Valley Chapel, Main Street, Val Caron, Thursday, December 1 at 11 a.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to St. James Memorial Fund or to the Cancer Centre would be gratefully appreciated.
