After a lengthy battle with cancer at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Tuesday April 12, 2011 in her 80th year. Shirley was happily married to her loving husband Ron for 60 years. She will also be sadly missed by her children Patrick (Tina) of Barrie, Debra Glass (Terry) of Schomberg and Denise Sammut (Grant) of Bolton and grandchildren Andrew, Melissa, Danielle, Jennifer and Mitchell. Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Marie Joron and by her brother Dave. Survived by brothers and sisters Leo, Roland, Lucy, Louis and Patricia. Shirley was a special person who was loved and enjoyed by everyone who knew her. A memorial service for Shirley will be held at a later date. Shirley had an affinity for animals and as such the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to All Heart Pet Rescue in Powassan, Ontario.
