Passed away with her family by her side at the Mattawa General Hospital on Saturday, April 2nd, 2011, she was in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Albert SR Serre. Loving mother of Edward, Claire, Eva, Albert JR (Bethann), Conrade, Theodore, Pauline (Danny), Severe, Rhea (Maurice), Madeliene, Nicole (Johnny), Marcel and Nancy (Thomas). Proud grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother to many children. Marie is predeceased by her son Placide and all of her siblings. Family will receive friends at the MARTYN & SLOAN “Mattawa Chapel” on Tuesday, April 5th, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service at St. Anne’s Church at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 6th, 2011. Cremation to follow at Forest Lawn Crematorium with the burial of ashes in the spring at St. Anne’s Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Lung Association would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
