Manderstrom, Corella

Corella died suddenly at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on February 22, 2014. She was born in Pembroke, ON in 1932 to Charlie and Mamie St. Jean. Corella is survived by her children Breck (Georgia), Kim, Russell (Sylvie), Cindy (Rod), Jenny (Walter), Wayne (Laurie), Charlie MacDougall (Bev) and also by her sisters Pricilla Nicholson, Carole Burton (Denis), Anna May Litkee (Eric), Brother Denis St. Jean (Elizabeth) and sister in law Ethel St Jean. Corella was predeceased by her husband William Manderstrom, brothers Cecile, Elroy and brother in law Nick Nicholson. Corella’s spirit will live on through her 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  She will especially be missed by her dearest friend Joyce Sicotte to whom the family owes a great deal of respect and appreciation. Corella lived a life rich in love, respect and kindness. Those of us fortunate enough to have known her knew that she always considered the feelings and needs of others before her own. She had the ability to touch your soul, with her warm friendly smile. Corella was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion branch 23 for many years. Special thanks to staff and residence of Cassellholme for the wonderful care and companionship that she received. As per Corella’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. However, there will be a celebration of her life on Saturday March 8th, 2014 at 2:30 pm in Temagami, ON at her son Russell Manderstrom’s home. Anyone wishing to make a donation, please do so to Cassellholme. They require new outdoor deck furniture and flower pots. Corella enjoyed many days on the deck in the company of friends.
