MALKINSON, Lucia Carmela 'Lucy'

Peacefully at Nipissing Manor Corbeil on Sunday, June 25, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was in her 87th year. Lucy (nee Gaita) was the beloved wife of William “Bill” Henry Malkinson of Powassan; mother of Mark of North Bay and Teresa Downey of Elliot Lake; and grandmother of Agnes Malkinson and Margaret Downey both of Ottawa. She was predeceased by siblings Tony and Maria, and survived by siblings Anna of England, Pina of Italy and Carmine of U.S.A. Lucy was a longtime employee both with Waltonian Inn and the Nipissing Game Farm. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place at Forest Lawn Crematorium, North Bay. If desired, memorial donations to the War Amps or the M.S. Society are suggested.
