After a valiant battle Barry passed peacefully, surrounded by family at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 53 years Velda (Robinson) as well as many family and friends.
Loving father to Shane (Irena Watson) of North Bay and Shannon Madigan- Knight (Trevor) of Ottawa.
Proud Grandfather to Shaelyn, Bryden and Rowan.
Barry was the big brother to Wendy Rochon (Rob) of Midland. Sharen Peebles (Dave) of Chesley and Heather Hemmings of North Bay.
Barry loved his job as a mechanic for many years, even after retiring he couldn’t stop puttering in his garage. Although Velda thought it was more the social aspect of having friends drop in for a beer every day. Anyone that knew Barry knew he was always the life of the party and loved being surrounded by family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations to North Bay Regional Health Care/ Renal Unit. Or Health Sciences North Cancer Centre. To show appreciation of the great care and compassion that Barry and Velda received over the last year and a half.
There will be a celebration of Life to Honour Barry on Saturday November 4th at 2:00pm at Partners Billiards. 361 Main Street East, North Bay.
