Passed away peacefully at her home on July 13, 2011 at the age of 84. Luise was born in Germany in 1927 to Johann and Louise Heumannskemper, moved to Chicago with her husband and children in 1954 and retired to North Bay in 1983. She was predeceased by her parents (in Germany), her husband of 29 years, Harald Friedrich Oberth, in Chicago and one son, Gerhard Oberth in San Francisco. She is lovingly remembered by her surviving children, Harald Oberth (and Agnes) of Michigan, Ursula Stange (and Ken) of North Bay, Ingrid Curry of Indiana and Gunther Oberth, also of Indiana. Her eleven grandchildren (Bill, Laura, James, Christiaan, Heidi, Michael, Katherine, Jennifer, Robert, Dana and Peter), and her twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, all will carry her hopes and dreams for them into the future. Family and friends are invited to bring their memories of Luise (Oma) to an informal celebration of her life between 7 and 9 pm on Monday, July 18th at Cecil’s Map Room on Main Street in North Bay.
