Audrey Loukidelis (nee MacLeod) passed away peacefully on Feb. 22 in North Bay, surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in Capreol, Audrey enjoyed summers at a family camp in Key Harbour on Georgian Bay. A graduate of Carlton University, she taught high school in Powassan and North Bay prior to her daughter’s birth. Later, when her husband was appointed as a Judge, the family moved to Parry Sound. Always a gifted cook, Audrey instructed classes in Greek cuisine for the Parry Sound campus of Georgian College.

Audrey enjoyed curling, golf and was a skilled duplicate bridge player. She was involved in her communities, volunteering as a member of the Catholic Women’s League of Canada, the Parry Sound Tower Hill Museum and Festival of the Sound.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Ernest, her daughter Maria (Matt Fisher) and grandsons Lucas and Jackson Fisher of Toronto. She is fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Ruth Loukidelis, nephews David Loukidelis (Jill) and John Loukidelis (Sarah) and niece Daphne Loukidelis (Tom). Audrey was predeceased by her beloved brothers, WWII veterans George, Murdoch and James MacLeod and by brother-in-law Spyros Loukidelis.

The family extends its gratitude to the staff of Cassellholme for their compassionate care.

Funeral Mass on March 5 at 10 a.m. at Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption, 480 McIntyre Street West, North Bay.

If desired, donations to Cassellholme or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
