Left this world peacefully and gently, surrounded by her family on November 3, 2005, in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late John Angus McLeod (predeceased 1972). Daughter of the late Stella and Philomene Gauthier of Ottawa. Loving mother of Don (Lois), Judy Pronovost (Bob), Janie Clayton (Merlin), Elaine Larose (Serge) all of North Bay, John (Wendy) and Peter of Vancouver Island and Michelle Wong (Calvin) of Toronto. Adored Grandmother of Mike Wildgoose, Janie Belleau, Tim, Dan, Alissa Clayton (daughter Emily), Tahnee Anthony, Sirje and Janna Weller, Sheena Nesbitt, Craig and Anna Larose, Amy and Scott Pronovost, Jonathon, Lucas and Maggie McLeod, Harvey Wong, and Nigel, Nathan and Katherine (children of Peter). Loved by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, friends and relatives. Dear sister of Pauline Driscoll and Roger Gauthier of Ottawa. Predeceased by four brothers and one sister. Special friend of Bill Billings and Del Stevens (predeceased 2000). A woman of great determination and energy who raised seven very strong children. Family and friends were her love and her joy. Always beautifully dressed and groomed, with beautiful blue eyes and a smile that lit the world, Lucille was admired by all she met. She loved laughter, music and most of all, dancing. A longtime member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #23 North Bay and Branch # 116 Bracebridge where she was an avid dart player and hard working member for many years. A popular resident of the Empire Living Center where she will be greatly missed by residents and staff.Friends are invited to attend visitation at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and at the Emmanuel United Church on Saturday from 12 noon until 1 p.m. The Ladies Auxiliary from the RCL Branch # 23 will hold a Memorial Service in the funeral home today at 2:30 p.m., during the visitation. A Service of Remembrance and reception will be held at Emmanuel United Church, 395 Lakeshore Road, North Bay on Saturday, November 5th, at 1 p.m. Reverend Meg Purdy, a longtime family friend, will be officiating. Donations made to the Worldwide Wellness/Pain Control Organization Pump Program or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. She's dancing in the clouds now and the sky will ring with laughter!
