LINKIE, Frank August

Posted

passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his
home on Saturday June 9, 2007. Frank was born in Maynooth Ontario, February 12, 1927.

Frank was the beloved husband and best friend of Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Bradley for over fifty years.
He was the loving and proud father of David and his wife Sharon of Callander, and Janice, Michael, and Mark and his wife Jamie-lynn all of North Bay.

Frank adored his grandchildren, Jessica, Lauren, Greg, Jenny, Brad, Shayna, Amanda, and Madison and was deeply loved by them in return.

He spent many happy hours with his grandchildren, playing cards, making special meals only the way Grandpa could and telling them stories.

Frank’s love of children caused him to join the Elks lodge where he was honoured to have been made a life member.
Frank was predeceased by his parents Max and Anna and his sister Edith Felske.

His fondest memories were of his sight seeing trips with Betty and their long chats together.

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed golf, hunting, and especially many successful trips to the “Old Hole” his secret fishing spot.

At Frank’s request there will be no public service. His family will gather for a private time of remembrance.

Cremation will occur at the Forest Lawn Cemetery and Crematorium with arrangements entrusted to the Martyn Funeral Home.

If desired, donations to the Heart and Stoke Foundation or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
