LEVAC, Gertrude (née Ethier)

1920- 2007. The family announces with sorrow her death at the West Nipissing General Hospital, Sturgeon Falls, on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at the age of 86 years. Daughter of the late Jules and of the late Josephine (née Vaillancourt) Ethier. Wife of the late Théodore Levac. Cherished mother of Jean-Claude of Sturgeon Falls, Louise of Quebec, Michel (Lise) of Val Thérèse, Pauline (Roger) of Sturgeon Falls, Francoise Monette (Marc) of Azilda, Pierrette Kollar (John) of Sudbury, Diane Delorme (Normand) of Verner. Predeceased by her son Gilbert (2000) (Cécile) of Val Thérèse and by her daughter Marguerite (2005). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Beatrice Courville, Aurèle Ethier (Marguerite), Cécile Ethier, Jeanne d'Arc Ethier, Jacqueline Bellefeuille, Gilles (Betty) all of Sturgeon Falls, Madeleine Gagnon of Sudbury, sisters- in-law Rita Ethier of Welland and Connie Ethier of Sudbury. Predeceased by her brothers, Armand, Serge, Camille (Lorraine). Gertrude's pride and joy was her family. She enjoyed being surrounded by her loved one's. Gertrude will be remembered as a loving, caring and giving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.



The family will receive relatives and friends at the Theoret-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls, on Sunday, February 18, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Sacré Coeur Church, Sturgeon Falls, on Monday, February 19, 2007 at 11 am. Donations to the West Nipissing General Hospital Foundation (Cancer Services), would be appreciated. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Katsuno, Dr. Parson, Dr. Mountain and the staff of the West Nipissing General Hospital for their great help and kindness.
