LEDUC, Emmanuel “Nel“ Jean Bernard

In loving memory of Emmanuel “Nel“ Jean Bernard Leduc, who passed away on Wednesday, February 6th, 2008 at the age of 89 years at Pioneer Manor. Born in Thurso, Quebec on March 16th, 1918 to the late Philémon and Ernestine (nee Prud'homme) Leduc. Husband of the late Gerturde (nee Parent) predeceased 1983. Loving father of Monique Therrien (husband Ron) of Hanmer, Louise Vitols (husband Hal) of Sudbury, Lorraine Skanes (husband Gary) of Ottawa, Christine of Montreal and Patricia Achtereekte (husband Leo) of Russell. Cherished grandfather of Richard (Marni), Stéphane (Monique), Ryan (Christine), André (Jennifer), Chantal, Dwayne (Mélanie) and Jesse and great grandfather to P.J. Emmanuel is predeceased by all his siblings; Marguerite Legault (Raoul), Dolores, Anatole (Beatrice & Laurietta), Ivanhoe (Marie-Jeanne), Albanie (Lawrence of Sarnia), Rosario, Louis-Philippe (Carmelle), Paul (Simone), Jeanne d'Arc, Gaby Ouellette (Gérald), Roger (Gertrude) and Jean-Marie (Grace), Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Emmanuel retired from Inco as a hoistman, at the age of 63 and moved to Sturgeon Falls. In Sturgeon Falls he belonged to the Legion, and was an avid bowler and participated in many golden age events. He had strong work ethics and also enjoyed working part-time as a bricklayer.



Thank you to the dedicated staff in Pine at Pioneer Manor and to Dr. Jacques for the care of our father since his admission in 2000. Memorial Funeral Mass in St. Jacques Church, Cté Blvd., Hanmer, Monday, February 11th, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
