It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dorval Joseph Ledoux. He was the beloved son of Elvida and Mathilda (Gauthier) Ledoux, both deceased. Dorval leaves behind a very special and loving family. Henry Ledoux (late Fernande); Annette Ledoux; Diane Deschamps (Ledoux); late Donald Ledoux (Thérèse); Gerry Ledoux (late Gloria); Pierrette Durocher (late Denis); MaryAnne McCharles (Brian); Claude Ledoux (Colette); Urgel Ledoux (Barbara); partner in friendship Paula Lefaive, and many nieces and nephews. Dorval would like to acknowledge a special lady in his life, Mrs. Joan Coutts, her family, and Nick Mailloux. He was very proud of his godchildren that he loved very much: Kristina (Ledoux) Walkling, Kristopher Ledoux, Nathan Coutts, Andrew Coutts, Ryan Degagné, and Robyn Degagné.

Dorval thoroughly enjoyed everything life had to offer. In particular, the countless outdoor excursions ATVing and snowmobiling with Paula and brothers Henry and Gerry, and the epic fishing trips with the gang in Brent. Dorval was a lover of music, attending every concert he possibly could, never satisfied that he’d enjoyed enough performances.

Dorval loved to garden, so much so that he spent fifteen years as a heritage gardener, developing a special bond with his co-gardeners, specifically, The Perky Pruners. Like he said many times, “How can I go wrong, gardening with these special, beautiful ladies.”

Many thanks to Dr. John Seguin, Kerry and Carole, Dr. Ali, Dr. Smith, and Dr. Want; nurses in the North Bay Chemo Department, and the nurses in the Home Care program.

There will be no visitation. Following cremation, a private family mass will be held at the St. Thomas d’Aquin church in Astorville on Saturday June 26th, 2021 at 10:30 am. For those wishing to attend virtually to mass will be live-streamed via the the churches website https://www.ourabcparishes.com

Dorval has requested, with much gratitude, that donations made in his memory be directed to the North Bay Heritage Gardeners, Trans Canada Trail Foundation, Nipissing Serenity Hospice or a deserving fund of your choosing.
