The death occurred at the Temiskaming District Hospital, New Liskeard on Wednesday. February 11, 2004 of Miss Joyce Leaper. Miss Leaper died following a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 74 years. Miss Leaper had been a life long resident of Cobalt. She was an avid gardener and took great pride in growing her African Violets. She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Mary Leaper and brother, Victor. She is survived by her siblings, Dorothy Leaper of Cobalt, Archie (Irene) Leaper also of Cobalt, and Douglas (Barbara) Leaper of North Bay. Also left to mourn is her sister-in-law, Edith Leaper of Michigan and (Several nieces and nephews whom she enjoyed immensely. The family of the late Miss Joyce Leaper will receive friends at the Buffam Léveillé Funeral Home, (705-672-3122) Haileybury, today, February 13, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Buffam Léveillé Funeral Home Ltd. on, Saturday, February 14, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Richard White officiating. Memorial contributions to Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged
