LAZAROU, Eunice Theresa

Passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 12, 2014.  Eunice was the wife of James Joseph Lewis “Jim” Lazarou and the late William Roland Coes.  She was 87 years old.  Loving mother of Bob Coes (Carol) of Saint John, NB, Susan Gravelle (Normand) of Callander, ON, Holly Coes Harris (Steve) of Orleans, ON, and was predeceased by her son Bruce Coes.  Lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Dearly loved sister of Elenor LaViolette (Norby deceased) and Shirley LaViolette (James).  Eunice will be remembered by Jim’s children – Peter Lazarou (Val), Barbara Stevens (Walter), Neil Lazarou (Sue), Phillip Lazarou (Rhonda), Donna Carriere (Marc), Debbie Gignac (Marc deceased), Kevin Lazarou (Lorraine).  Eunice and Jim spent many happy times travelling around the world making new friends and visiting long time ones as well. Eunice volunteered for over 30 years at different organizations.  She had a passion for helping others, be it by raising money for important causes, making and donating beautifully handcrafted items and the most recent, volunteering at the North Bay Regional Health Centre and the Heritage Carousel.  Respecting Eunice’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held on Thursday morning, January 16, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Church on Memorial Drive. Afterwards, there will be a luncheon downstairs.  Donations to the Heart & Stroke Fund in memory of Eunice will be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
