LATULIPPE, Irène (Boyer)

Our family announced the passing of Irène on Friday, March 10, 2006 at North Bay General Hospital, at the age of 91. Born on May 20, 1914 in Schreiber, Irène was the beloved wife of Gérald Latulippe, loved mother of Carole, North Bay; Maurice (Diane), Sudbury; Michelle Blunt (Dr. Gerald), Kirkland Lake; and Renée, Ottawa. she will be lovingly remembered by her 17 grandchildren; her sisters Rita Akey (Bernard, deceased); Betty Sim (Neil, deceased). Predeceased by her father Edmond Boyer, Mother Marie (née Vaillancourt); her brothers Léo, Victor, Maurice, Jean-Paul, Thomas and grandson Michael Campion.

Irène started teaching school at 17 years of age. Her primary experience included St. Vincent de Paul, Rainy River, Halleybourgh and Minnow Lake in Sudbury. Irène graduated from Ottawa University in 1947 and took her post-graduate studies in Psychometrics. she taught high school in Embrun, Manotick and Chippewa High School.

Irène enjoyed literature, music, arts, summers at the cottage and precious times with her grandchildren. Grandmother of Christopher and Mark Campion; Andréa. Dr/ Danielle and Gregory Blunt; Danielle, Michel and Mathieu Latulippe; Philippe and Rémi Latulippe; Lyndsay and Nicole McFadgen and Graham Latulippe.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m., March 13, 2006. Interment at the St. Mary's Cemetery in North Bay.

Donations in the memory of Irène can be provided to the North Bay General Hospital Children's Wing.
