Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the age of 77. Born in Miramichi, NB, she was the daughter of the late Burton and Velma MacTavish and step-daughter of Kathryn MacTavish. Predeceased by her sister Roberta Gale and her special nephew James Burton Hartery “Jimmy”. She is survived by her beloved husband James Lassman of 51 years; daughter Tracey Valois; son Craig Lassman; grandchildren Stephen Lassman-Valois (Lauren), Kailee-June Valois (Josh), Marissa Valois, Rylan Lassman, Selina Lassman and Blake Lassman; great grandchildren Benjamin Lassman, Jace Valois-Porritt and Keenan Valois-Porritt; and siblings Weldon MacTavish (Mable), Randy MacTavish (Catherine), Ricky MacTavish, Jared MacTavish (Susan); Ruby McMahon-Keoughan (Terry); and Percy White (Rita). June will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Private services will be held for family in Burlington. Public services will be held in Miramichi, NB at a later date. In lieu of flowres, donations made to The Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
