Born August 21, 1963, in his 45th year, passed away suddenly at his home on Bear Island, Lake Temagami, Ontario on March 12, 2008. Devoted and loving father of Zachariah and Jasmine Folger (Waterloo); and Kiiwedin Laronde and loving life partner of Lesha (Sinnesael of Englehart). Beloved son of Barbara Laronde and the late Willis Laronde of Temagami; and dear brother of Mary, David (Carolyn), Tommy and Sandra Laronde. Uncle Allan will be dearly missed by nieces Bobbie Maxwell, Haley, Katie, Sadie and Willow Laronde. Allan is sadly mourned by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. Allan received a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree from the University of Guelph, and a Bachelor of Education from Nipissing University, North Bay. He was a dedicated educator who taught at Temagami First Nation, and was the Director of Education for the Timiskaming First Nation in Quebec. A musician and an aspiring stand-up comic, Al had a gift to make people laugh and brought a smile to many faces. Allan was a spiritual person and a life-time subscriber to the Four ‘H' club that promotes Honor, Honesty, Humility and Humour. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the Bear Island Recreation Centre on Lake Temagami on Sunday March 16th starting at 2 pm. Funeral services will follow at the Recreation Center on Monday March 17th at 11 am. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Diabetes Association will be gratefully acknowledged.
