It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean Larocque, AKA "GNO", on June 13th, 2023. He was 41 years old. Gno will be greatly missed by his loving wife Kate, his children Ryan, Mya, and Trenton, as well as his parents Louise and Gerry, and his brother Mike (Kristine).

A loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend who touched the lives of so many around him. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand or an open ear when someone needed it.

Gno was a man who loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was an avid sports fan, especially basketball, hockey, and a huge Montreal Canadiens fan. He also enjoyed playing pool at partners in his pool league, "Usual Suspects" avid poker player, golfing, and bowling. He loved old rock music and being surrounded by the people he loved and cared for. Gno loved adventures, adrenaline, and was always the life of the party.

In his free time, Gno loved spending time with those closest to him, especially with his dog, Cooper. Gno dedicated 25 years to the Ministry of Natural Resources (AFFES) starting as a Park Attendant and ending his career as a Fire Operations Supervisor, a position he was proud to have achieved. He formed many cherished bonds with his work family.

Gno's love of fishing with a can of Coors Light in hand is something that will be remembered dearly by those closest to him. His warm smile, contagious laugh, and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the Martyn Funeral Home (464 Wyld St. North Bay) from 1:00pm – 2:00pm followed by a Memorial Service in the chapel at 2:00pm.
