Lalande, Harvey

Peacefully passed away at Cassellholme Home for the Aged on March 3, 2014 at the age of 87 years. He leaves behind his wife Monica who was his soul mate and sparring partner. From a family of 9 siblings he is survived by his brother Rolly (Laurine). Harvey will be sadly missed by his children Micheal, Phillip (Patricia), Suzanne (Larry), Lorraine, Danny, Rhean, Peter (Jane), Denise, Tommy, Nicole (Ken), his grandchildren Rebecca (Tim), Melissa, Lee, Andrea, Erin, Connor, Andrew, Sarah, Mitchel, Carson, Eric (Lachelle) and Shawn, and great grandchildren Heidi, Emma and Isabelle. He put in almost 50 years at the ONR where most of it was spent as a sheet metal worker. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and sports but his true passion was softball which landed him in the North Bay Hall of Fame. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at the McGuinty Funeral Home on Saturday from 1 pm – 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to KidSports or the Alzheimers Society would be gratefully appreciated by the family. The family would like to extend a huge heartfelt thank you to Dr. Prins and the staff on the 2nd floor at Cassellholme for their care and compassion.
