Passed away peacefully at the North Bay General Hospital-Scollard Site on Sunday April 20th , 2008 in his 70th year. David was the beloved husband of Nellie Baczyk and loving father of James (Lee-Anne) of Scarborough and Maureen (Eldon Muise) of Barrie. Predeceased by his daughter Colleen and son Joseph of North Bay. Extended family Lena (James Macnac) of Australia, Richard (Cathie) of Elliot Lake, Della (Kathy) of Kitchener and Robert of Elliot Lake. He will be lovingly remembered by 5 grandchildren. David was predeceased by both parents Margaret (nee Miness) and Rudolph Lafrance. Brothers Hector, Lloyd Leonard, Wilburt (Jack), Ernie and his sister Rose. He will be fondly remembered by his sister Margaret and Leo Drouin and Eveline and Gerard Marier. He will be sadly missed be many nieces, nephews and friends. David was an active member in the community, volunteering for numerous organizations such as the North Bay and District Cardiac Fitness Club, Heritage Railway and Carousel as well as an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 12106, 4th degree to name a few. Family receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd., Wednesday April 23, from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 pm. Funeral mass will be conducted at Corpus Christi Church on Thursday April 24th at 11 am. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of David will be gratefully acknowledged.
