The family announces with sadness her passing on September 23, 2004, at the West Nipissing General Hospital. Cherished wife of the late Henri (Harry) Lafond. Loving mother of René (Kathy) of Espanola, Alice Noël (André) of Chelmsford, Jeanne Larabie of Sudbury, Yvette Thériault (Ron) of Azilda, Gaëtanne Olmstead (David) of Dowling, Aline Lavallée, Claude (Cécile), Gaëtan, André (Marie-Jeanne), Léo (Isabelle), Denise Léonard (Jean-Guy) and Colette Lafond (Paul), all of Sturgeon Falls. Predeceased by one son, Guy, and one daughter Rita, and two brothers, François Philion (Pierrette) and Alcide Philion, as well as one sister, Rollande Lachapelle (late Émile). She leaves a rich heritage of love to her 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn her loss are her brothers and sisters; René Philion (Lorette), Blanche Gagné (late Roland), Claudette Durette (Raymond), Jean Philion (Lucille), Arthur Philion, and Lionel Philion. The family will receive relatives and friends at the THÉORæT FUNERAL HOME, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today, September 24. The funeral mass will be presided by Reverend Gérald Lajeunesse at the Sacré Coeur Church on Saturday, September 25 at 1 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, the family would gratefully acknowledge donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
