LAFLÈCHE, Edna (née Spencer)

Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the West Nipissing General Hospital, Sturgeon Falls, Saturday October 27, 2007, at the age of 88 years. Daughter of the late Louis and of the late Annie (née Burns) Spencer. Wife of the late Simon Laflèche (1997). Devoted mother of Bob (Millie) of Peterborough, Len, Deanna (Bruce), Brian (Lorraine), Frances (Bruce), Jocelyn (Guy), Gisèlle (Paul), Dan, David (Rachelle) all of Sturgeon Falls, Shirley (Gilles) of Sudbury, Joan (Brian) of Oshawa, Monique (Art) of Ottawa and Anne Marie (Glen) of St-Catharines. She will be sadly missed by her 27 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her brothers Raymond, McCarthy, Frank, Lorne and sister Annie. Lovingly remembered by her sister Elaine Ferrill and her many nieces and nephews. Edna was a charter member of the CWL and contributed generously of her time to many organizations in the community.



The family will receive friends at the THEORET-BOURGEOIS FUNERAL HOME on Monday October 29 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Sorrows Church . Donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated. Thanks to all health care providers with a SPECIAL THANKS to CCAC. When I must leave you for a little while please do not grieve and shed wild tears and I in turn will comfort you and hold you near. And never, never be afraid to die, for I am waiting for you in the sky.
