LAFANTAISIE, Ethel (nee Major)

May 29, 1922 - May 22, 2006. It is with deep regret that Ethel's family announces her passing at the West Nipissing General Hospital in Sturgeon Falls on Monday May 22, 2006 in her 84th year. Predeceased by her husband Rene in 1996, a daughter Laurette, 2 sons Rheo and Jeannot. Loving mother of Yvon (Irene) of Verner, Urgel (Monique) of North Bay, Robert (Juliette), Ghislaine (Michel Bazinet) both of Sturgeon Falls, Lorraine (Michel Paquette), Diane (Guy Ethier), Germain (Jocelyne) all of Field and Micheline (Robert Gaudette) of Kipling. Dear sister of Lorney (Reina), Howard (Solange), Kenneth (Lorraine), Ronald (Pauline), Leona (Yvin Langevin) all of Field, Gerald ( Marie) of St-Eugene de Guigue, Quebec, Anita Seguin, Victoria (Vital Chatelain) both of North Bay and Gordon (Yvonne) of St Charles. Also survived by a sister-in-law Rhea Major and a brother-in-law Victor Liard. Predeceased by her sisters Eva, Edna, Rita and a brother Woodrow. She will be sadly missed by her 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.



Family receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd., North Bay today from 2 until 9 pm and on Wednesday morning at Notre Dame des Victoires Church in Field for a visitation from 10 am until time of funeral mass at 11 am. . Interment to follow at Notre Dame des Victoires Cemetery. Donations to the Field First Response in memory of Ethel will be gratefully acknowledged by her family.



Ethel's family would like to thank Dr Andree Morrison and the staff of the West Nipissing General Hospital for the tender loving care given to her during the year.
