1934–2015 – with saddened hearts the family announces the peaceful passing of Ethel Lachapelle on Saturday August 29, 2015 at the North Bay Regional Centre. She was in her 82nd year. Mom was the beloved wife of the late Roland Lachapelle (1934-2001).
She will be lovingly remembered by her 4 children Patricia (Marc), Gerry (Cindy), Joelle (Allan) and Suzane (Brent), 8 grandchildren Jeremy (Christine), Chontel (Paul), Justine, Joel, Nathan, Josée, Angele and Eric, 2 great grandchildren Hunter and Oscar and 2 step grandchildren Cheyenne and Charlotte.
She will also be missed by her two surviving brothers Allen Girard and Donald (Diane) Girard. Ethel is predeceased by her parents Aldamo and Edna Girard and sister Betty Dobson.
The family would like to acknowledge a special thank you to Dawn Warbrick (PSW) for her compassionate care, dedication and friendship she gave to mom over the years. You held a special place in her life.
We would like to acknowledge the staff and nurses (Jazz) of CCU and Dr. Gauthier for making mom’s journey bearable. A special thank you goes to Community Care Access Centre, Para-Med, Marina Point staff and her friends.
Respecting mom`s wishes a cremation has taken place and her ashes will be interred in the family plot in Kirkland Lake but please join her family for a Celebration of her Life on Saturday September 5, 2015 at Pat and Marc`s place 139 Booth Road, Astorville-East Ferris from 1-4 pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Basic Cremation Services.
If desired donations to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Association, Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society, The Lung Association, The North Bay Regional Hospital or a charity of your choice would be greatly acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
