(1936- 2008) - The family announces with sorrow his death at the West Nipissing General Hospital, Sturgeon Falls, on Monday, June 9, 2008 at the age of 71 years. Son of the late Alfred and of the late Desneiges (née Benoit) Lachance. Cherished husband of Fernande (née Thériault) Lachance of Lavigne. Loving father of Marc (Julie) and David both of Lavigne and Don (Cheryl) of Windsor. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his eight grandchildren. Dear brother of Fernand, Marius (Huguette) and Jacques (Pierrette) all of Sudbury, Carmen (late Rhéal Legault) (Marcel Leclair) of Québec and Emilda (Réjean Mazerolle) of Verner. Survived by many nieces and nephews. An avid outdoorsman, Georges enjoyed fishing with his wife. The family will receive friends at THEORET BOURGEOIS FUNERAL HOME, Verner, Wednesday, June 11, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 11 a.m. in Notre-Dame de la Visitation Church, Lavigne.
