Her family announces the passing of Anne Katherine Kornuta, at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, on Monday, September 25th, 2023. A beloved sister, horse enthusiast, and a caring individual who made a difference in the lives of both horses and autistic children. Anne was a dear sister to Claire, and they shared a special bond beyond sisterhood.

Annie was predeceased by her mother Maria Kornuta (née Passmann).

Anne deeply loved horses, finding joy and comfort in their presence. She dedicated herself to sharing this passion and the therapeutic benefits of horse riding with autistic children. Through her selflessness and generosity, she touched the lives of many children, positively impacting their well-being.

Anne's kindness and compassion extended beyond her love for horses. She formed a close and nurturing friendship with Adrienne Langlois, akin to that of a mother and daughter. Their relationship was a testament to their love and care for each other, providing support and understanding throughout the years.

Additionally, Anne cherished her friendship with Maryse, which brought her joy and enriched her life. Their camaraderie was a source of strength and happiness for Anne, and they shared countless memorable moments.

Anne Katherine Kornuta will be remembered for her kindness, love for horses, dedication to helping others, and the meaningful relationships she cultivated throughout her life. She leaves a legacy of love, compassion, and positive change in the world. May her soul rest in peace, and may her loved ones find solace in the beautiful memories they shared with her.

If desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.

Claire’s reflection; A beautiful, kind and caring young woman.  A sister that meant the world to me. My heart and soul are now shattered.   I don't know if I can ever mend.  Annie was a part of me each day.  I've been blessed having her around throughout life.

God is kind to let her through the gates to Heaven.
