KLEVEN, Margery

Peacefully at Eastholme, Powassan, on Sunday March 16th, 2008, at the age of 83 years. Margery (nee Simms) was the beloved wife of the late Agnar Kleven. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her brothers Eddy and Boyd (Dorothy) and her sister Doris-Rae Brownlee (Bill) all of North Bay. She will also be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews Carla, Karen, Nancy, Brian, Bonnie-Rae and Tammy. Born in New Liskeard Margery was the daughter of the late Albert Edward and Winnifred Eunice Simms. A long time employee of the ONR, Margery joined the railway in the early 1940's. She was one of the last telegraph operators for the railway, trained in both morse code and teletype. He career took her to Cochrane, Kirkland Lake and Timmins where she retired after 40 years of service. A dedicated member of the United Church and the Rebekah Lodges in both Timmins and North Bay. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Thursday afternoon, March 20 from 1:30 pm until time for services in the chapel at 3:00 pm. Spring interment will take place in the Timmins Cemetery. If desired donations to Trinity United Church, First United in Timmins, or the North Bay General Hospital Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
