It is with profound sadness that Colleen's family shares their Mother's peaceful passing at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Sunday, December 10th, 2023, in the 95th year of her life. Born on 10 August 1929 Mary Theresa Colleen Klein (nee Killoran), enjoyed a busy childhood in west Toronto the oldest daughter of a large family who proudly held the Toronto Junior Yo-yo championship title before moving with her family to North Bay and attending secondary school at St Joseph's College. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert 'Ab' Klein, and the loving Mother of Jim (Cathy), Larry (Heather), Rosemary (Martin), John (Cara) and a "second Mom" to Mark Glofcheskie; she was predeceased by her infant daughter Anne Marie. Colleen is remembered by her grandchildren Anne Marie (Jesse), Paul, Michael, Sean, Patrick (Kiana), Kathleen (Steve), Peter (Sarah), Tommy, James (Shania), Tim (Carly), Katie, Ellen, Molly, and Eden, and by her much loved great granddaughter Lila Klein. Colleen was the daughter of the late Hilliard and Mary Killoran and the dear sister of Tom Killoran (May), Sr. Maureen Killoran CND, Sheila Grafmuller (Joe) and Karen Ann McArthur; she was, predeceased by her sibling: Patrick, Larry and Sharon.

Colleen enjoyed travelling and loved family gatherings and her social life with a close, lifelong group of friends. She was a member of the CWL at the Pro Cathedral of the Assumption and her volunteer work including for the Gathering Place. Despite travelling the world, and being born a Toronto girl, her happy place was always her northern cottage on Lake Talon on the shores of Rice Bay, laughing with family and friends, solving the problems of the world, evening swims while listening to the haunting call of the loons, feeding the hummingbirds and chipmunks and toasting sunsets from the deck, cocktail in hand.

Visitation for Colleen will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Sunday, December 17th from 2- 4 and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial and a celebration of Colleen's life will be held at the Pro Cathedral of the Assumption on Monday, December 18th, 2023 at 10:00 am. Interment will be in the Klein family plot at St. Mary's Cemetery.

If desired, donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice or the Gathering Place would be appreciated by her family.
