KENT, Edgar Christen

On Tuesday, January 29th, at the age of 96, Edgar departed to his heavenly home. He was predeceased by his beloved wife and angel Eileen in May 2007. Edgar will be so greatly missed by his children Chris (Merrilyn Fuchs) of Hamilton, daughter Gail Barnhart of North Bay, and son Mark (Julie) of Canmore, Alberta. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Samara Paleczny (Glenn), Ryan Barnhart (Ann Welsh), Paul Kent (Esperenza), Abigail, Parker & Naomi Kent and great grandchildren, Lauren and Nicholas Paleczny have been enriched in their lives by Edgar's faith, and by his beautiful, courageous and positive spirit. He was predeceased by his parents David and Laura Kant, by his siblings Ferdinand, Margaret, Amanda, Ruth and Gerhardt and by his son in law Gordon Barnhart. His last few years have been a return journey in thoughts and stories of those bygone days in Wabewawa, Connaught, Kirkland Lake, Cochrane and Timmins.“ What a blessing he has been to us all“ A Special Thanks to Dr. Ng and the caregivers at Eastholme.



Family will be receiving friends at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (North Bay) on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church, 1250 Cassells Street, North Bay on Friday, February 1st, at 1:00 PM. Spring Interment will follow at the North Bay Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Salvation Army, Camp Norland or Teen Challenge would be greatly appreciated.
