Into the loving arms of our Lord on Wednesday, October 5th, 2005 at home with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Dedicated and loving husband to Mariela (Zamorano), wonderful father to Paul Jr. and Judy Bornais and husband David. Proud and loving grandpa to Mikayla and Megan Bornais. Dear brother-in-law to Rodrigo Zamorano. Great brother to the late Helena, Anka and John. Survived by sisters Emilia and Suzanna in the Czech Republic. Also survived and loved by special cousins Albina and Emil Labaj of Oshawa, as well as many nieces and nephews. Paul was an active member of the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption Parish, a Fourth Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1007, a Volunteer of the Focolare Movement, Former Vice President of the Polish Canadian Club and a Veteran of World War II, English 8th Army Polish Core. He will always be remembered for his gentle kindness, the love and joy that surrounded times with family and friends, his passion for gardening and his strong faith and dedication to the Lord. As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption Building Fund, Windsor Regional Cancer Clinic or Hospice of Windsor. Visitation will take place at McGuinty Funeral Home today, October 7th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 8th at 10 a.m. at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption Church.
