JENKINS, Herbert Howard

Peacefully at the North Bay General Hospital on Monday February 12, 2007 at the age of 78 years. Herbert Howard Jenkins was the beloved husband of and will be sadly missed by Maye Reta (nee Telford). Proud and loving father of Randy Jenkins and Terry Horseman both of North Bay and Donald Jenkins (Bonnie) of Edmonton. Herb was predeceased by his son James in 1990, by his son-in-law Blair in 2006 and his grandson Shawn in 1984. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Robert, Logan, Jared and Melissa. Dear brother of Everett (June) of Newcastle and Helen McArthur of Timmins. Also predeceased by his sisters Brenda Lessard and Loretta Gagnon. Herb was a long time employee of Ontario Hydro working as an electrical supervisor throughout Northern Ontario. Following his retirement Herb and Maye relocated to North Bay.



Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Wednesday afternoon, February 14th, from 1:00 pm until time for a memorial service in the chapel at 3:00 pm. Rev'd. Kathy McCallum officiating. Cremation will follow with interment of his ashes in the spring in the family plot at Forest Lawn Cemetery. If desired donations to the Northern Cancer research Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy. Herb's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the palliative care staff on 3 East of the North Bay General Hospital and the VON for their kindness and care.
