She went to be with her Lord, on Saturday, July 23, 2011. Marjorie (nee Kerr) was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence Jamieson, she was 84 years old. Loving sister of Allen Kerr and his wife Betty, Ted Kerr and his wife Chris, Bill Kerr and his wife Helen, Joyce Raaflaub and her husband Willard, Bruce Kerr, Irene McMillian and Marion Jamieson. She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Marjorie was predeceased by her parents James and Viola Kerr, by her siblings Francis Wallace, Jim Kerr and by her brothers-in-law Allan McMillian and Wilmer Jamieson. She will be sadly missed by sister-in-law Barb Kerr and brother-in-law Roy Wallace. Marjorie married Lawrence at the Knox United Church in Callander in 1946. She was a member of the All Canadian Championship Curling Team, and travelled to many countries to represent Canada. She enjoyed listening to Lawrence play the fiddle as well as dancing with him. She golfed for many years and enjoyed many great hours with friends. Marjorie was a long-time and very active member of the Bethel Gospel Chapel. She also taught children to know, love and serve Christ as a teacher at AWANA. Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home today Monday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 PM and Tuesday from 10am until time for a Funeral Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery. If desired, donations to a Charity of Choice will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
