Passed away peacefully at his home, after a lengthy battle with cancer, on Tuesday, May 24th, 2011. John was the beloved father of John G. Inch of New York City, Dr. Cameron Inch of Toronto, Thomas Inch and his wife Michelle of Thornton and Sara Inch and her fianceé Gregory Nesterenko of North Bay. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Oscar and Carson. Dear brother of Arthur. He will be sadly missed by his former wife Bonnie (nee Minchin) who he married 1964. He was predeceased by his parents William and Aileen Inch and by his brother William. John served with the RCAF as a Navigator from 1951-1957. After passing the Bar in 1964 he worked as a Crown Attorney, then in the early 70’s he practiced private law until 2005 and served as a Deputy Judge until 2009. He was very involved in his community as Honorary Colonel for the 26th service Battalion CFB North Bay, a School Board Trustee for NNDSB for many years, a member of the board for McKay homes, and sat on board the Ontario Disabilities appeals committee from 2007-2009. John loved coffee at Demarco’s, watching golf, opera, following modern music, keeping abreast of current affairs, spending time on the dock in the summer and was proud to be a long time member of the conservative party. Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #23 (150 First Avenue) on Saturday, May 28th at 11: 00am.
