Peacefully, at the Providence Manor in Kingston on Monday, January 2nd, 2006 in her 100th year. Cora Slack beloved wife of the late Cecil C. Appleton and Walter E. Hyndman. Loving mother of Arthur J. Appleton and his wife Elizabeth of North Bay and dear step-mother of Ted Hyndman and his wife Betty of Elliot Lake. Cherished grandmother of Craig of North Bay, Andrea of Victoria, British Columbia, Michael (Lenore) of Russell, and great-grandmother of Tyler, Aiden, Conner and Hannah of Russell. Dear sister of Joan Kenney of Kingston and the late Marie Heffernan, Nora, Leonard, Wilfred and Dan Slack and Pauline Duncan. Friends will be received at the Robert J. Reid & Sons Funeral Home, "Chapel on the Corner", 309 Johnson Street (at Barrie), on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Mother of Sorrows Chapel, Providence Manor, 275 Sydenham Street, Kingston, on Thursday, January 5th, 2006 at 10:45 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to service.
