HUTTER-BEDNARSKI, Maria (nee Toby) September 30, 1909 - March 18, 2005

Posted

It is with great sadness, but turning to joy, as we return Mary to the arms of Our God the Father and her predeceased family, her parents, Maria Gaidzira and Kasper Toby, her husband August Hutter Sr. and Julian Bednarski, and her sisters Anna and Hilda. Mary is lovingly remembered and missed by her natural and extended family in Europe, Australia and Canada, by her dear and loyal friends in the Golden Age Apartments especially Phyllis and Reno and her gentle roommate dearest Mable Mason at Cassellholme. Mary is survived by her first born son John, and his wife Hilda and their children, Hannas, Eileen and Jim, and their spouses, and their children. Also by her son August 'Gus' and his wife Terry and their daughter Chantel and her spouse Michael. As well as her extended Bednarski family, Bob and Walter, their spouses and their children. We thank God and our Country Canada for the privilege of Mary and her two sons becoming fine, good and respected Canadians citizens in which they raised their families. Mary followed her two sons in 1953 to Canada and became a proud Canadian in November 1960. Mary was proud of her work as Seamstress for the British Army Units, sewing, cooking, crocheting, knitting, playing cards, working hard and smiling through her rough and ready path of her life. We thank the city of Sudbury and area for the first welcome bestowed upon her and the love of her sons and loyal friends. We thank Sturgeon Falls and their lovely people and the Home Care Mary received while living there. The people of North Bay embraced and loved her for the person she was and her most engaging smile. We thank the North Bay Hospital and nursing staff, the Home Care, the Management at the Nipissing Manor and Cassellholme and their nursing staff. Especially to those nurses at the establishments mentioned, who dedicated their life work to understanding the elderly and the family in their time of need, with the care you see in their eyes, their attitude and the touch of their hand. These special dedicated nurses, that we came to know, stand out among their peers, and continue to teach those around them, by their own example. In time, we might forget their names, but we will never forget the faces of those who showed us kindness and tenderness, firm and true. We invite each and every member of Mary's beloved family, that shared love and special memories with Mother, Omama, Grandmother and all her good and kind friends to join in prayer, as we in our hearts release Mary to the Glory of God. We understand some of you cannot attend due to age and illness. You also will be in our prayer. Family receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Road (474-7655) on Wednesday March 23, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 until time of service at 8 p.m. Interment will be under the Bednarski-Hutter consecrated plot at Forest Lawn Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers arrangements, your own one rose may be placed in the casket at the time of the viewing visit. Thank you for loving Mary. Happiness is the love that is shared with kindred spirits. Gus and Terry Hutter.
