Passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, January 8th, 2014 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Gabrielle (Cote). Loving father of Alfred (Liz Moss), Stratford, Ont, Stanley (Lynn McKinnon), John of Ottawa and David of North Bay. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Jesse, Lindsay, Derek, Kyle, Carly and Kess Humphreys, Jesse Barton, Carrie Wesnoday Davis, Nick Lagasse, Kirastyn and Ainsley Kee, and his great grandchildren Case, Lexie, Remie and Maxime. Loving brother to Winnifred Reavell (Fraser) both predeceased, Dr. Alfred Humphreys (Sue both predeceased) (Hedi Stillwell) of London, Ont, Joan Labine (Roland) (both predeceased), Rita Garofolo (Ron, predeceased) and Barbara Lipic (Bob) of Sudbury. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Leslie was born in Rugeley, Staffordshire, England on January 13, 1928 coming to Canada in 1931 with his mother and siblings to join their father in Burwash, Ontario. The family moved to Haileybury in 1938 where Les spent his teenage years until his career took him to many places in Canada (Nanasivik) Northern Quebec, Northern Ontario and overseas to Saudi Arabia, finally settling in North Bay to raise his family. Friends are invited to visit at the HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Road, on January 31 from 4 to 8 p.m. Masonic service at 7 p.m. January 31, 2014. Funeral service will be held at 11 am at St. Brice's Anglican Church, 1225 Cassells St, North Bay.
