It is with great sorrow that our family announces the passing of our mother Irene at the age of 74, May 7, 2008, at Sudbury Memorial Hospital. Irene was the beloved wife of the late Gérard Houle (1988) and dear mother to Lena (Sam), Gérald (Christine), Thérèse and predeceased daughter, Birtha. Dear sister of Leo Chatelain (Anita) and Claudette. Loving grandmother to Cindy, Claudette, Amanda, Devin, Denis, Victoria, Meghan and great-grandmother to Kasey-Lyn, Isaac and Kiera. She will be dearly remembered by her step-grandchildren, Joanne, Joseph and Marie and 11 great step-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents,Wilfred and Rose Chatelain and sisters, Theresa Piché (Elwood) and Claire St-Pierre (Art). At our mother's request there will be no visitation. Cremation at Forest Lawn Crematorium. A memorial mass will be celebrated at Paroisse St-Vincent-de-Paul, Friday, May 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME.
