At the North Bay General Hospital on Tuesday, November 25th, 2003 at the age of 76 years. Norman Ross Hawkins and his beloved wife Colene M. Mauro were married for 55 years this past September. Proud and loving father of Craig, Thomas (Debbie), and Jane Anne Dobbs, (Rick) all of North Bay. Norm wil be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Richard, Tommy, Shawn and Craig Jr. Hawkins, and Melinda and Keith Dobbs, and his great-grandchildren Casandra, Jordon, Kendra, Kayla, Tyler and Austin. Also survived by his brother Clarence of North Bay. Predeceased by his brothers Orville and Wilfred and sisters Mildred Smith, Birdina Brown, Lorena VanBuskirk, Edna Fletcher and Olive. For over 35 years, Norm was a salesman for Coca-Cola, calling on customers throughout the north. At his request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held in the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL (across from City Hall) on Saturday, November 29th, 2003 at 2 pm. Interment of ashes will be in the Union Cemetery, North Bay. If desired, donations to the Cancer Society, Diabetic Association, Heart and Stroke Fund or Knox United Church Memorial Fund will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
