(1929 – 2007). The family of William A. Donaghey Sr. / AKA Enoch D. Hawkins announces with sorrow his passing away in his 79th year. His physical journey ended early Wednesday morning at the Mattawa General Hospital, November 21st, 2007. Son of the late James and of the late Jean (née Sproule) Donaghey. Beloved husband for 52 years of Beatrice (née Laforge) of Mattawa. He will live on through his sons, William Jr. (Julie) of Grand Haven, Michigan, Ray (Denise) of North Bay, John of Toronto, and his daughters, Shelley Kennedy of Waterloo and Christine Donaghey of Mattawa. Predeceased by his son Arthur, October 1st, 1961. Fondly remembered and loved by his brother Robert Donaghey, his nine grandchildren, his two great-grandchildren, and by many nieces and nephews. Enoch was a veteran of the Korean War and received recognition with several medals of honour. Many thanks to Dr. Redhead and the nurses at the Mattawa General Hospital for their excellent care provided to the family. A celebration of Enoch's life will be held at Eau Claire Missionary Church, 991 Hwy 630 (Kiosk Rd) Mattawa, on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 11 a.m. Donations to the Mattawa General Hospital, CNIB, Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
