September 30, 1919- February 12, 2007. Peacefully at Cassellholme, North Bay on Monday February 12, 2007 in her 88th year. Predeceased by her husband Harold Matti Harju, brothers Vic and Arne Nissila. Dear mother of Mel Harju (Pat) of North Bay. Also survived by her grandchildren Jon Harju (Noel), Fred Harju (Diana) all of Ottawa, Curtis Harju of North Bay and great grandchildren Damon, Briana, Brooke and Ben. Dear sister of Eino Nissila of Sault Ste Marie.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 17, 2007, 11 am at Omond Memorial United Church, 319 McKenzie Ave., North Bay. Following the funeral a light lunch and coffee will be served in the church hall. Donations to the Omond Memorial United Church in memory of Laina will be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
