The family announces his peaceful death in Alban, Tuesday, August 17, 2004 at the age of 74 years. Beloved husband of Rachel Groulx (née Beaulieu) of Alban. Son of the late Baptiste Adolphis and of the late Rosareine Alma (née Ouellette) Groulx. Loving father of Françoise Guilbeault (Raymond) and Normand Groulx (Carla) both of Sudbury, Colette Vincent (Michel) of Orléans and Ronald Groulx of Ottawa. Dear brother of Louise St-Jean (Emmanuel) of Astorville, Evangeline Burns of Seaforth, Marcel Groulx (Mabel) and Rita Cook (Russell) both of Stratford, Philippe Groulx (Eveline), Louis Groulx (Rhéjeanne) and André Groulx (Thérèse) all of North Bay, Béatrice Paulin (Roger) of Evangeline, New Brunswick and Anita Groulx of Callander. Predeceased by his brother and sisters, Maurice, Jeanne Gauthier, Lina, Lucien and Thérèse. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Lianne, Eric, Josée, Elise and Taylor. Dear son-in-law of Irène Beaulieu (late Aimé) of Alban. Brother-in-law of Jean-Paul (Sandra), Diane Deslauriers (Léo) and Denis (Charlene) all of Alban, Gaëtan (Jeanne-d'Arc), Hélène Bouffard and Françoise Beaulieu all of Sudbury and Jeanne Moore (Gary) of Walford. Born and raised in Astorville, Oscar moved to Sudbury, where he raised his family and retired from INCO, after 37 1/2 years of service. He enjoyed vacationing on Ranger Bay Lake in the French River area where he later retired and enjoyed country living. He met and married his dear, loving wife Rachel and together they shared a warm and loving home on Ranger Bay Lake until his courageous death to cancer. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. Oscar was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 10585, Alban. The family will receive friends at the Co-Operative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 20, 2004 at 11 a.m. in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Church, Alban. Donations to the Northeastern Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated.
