GRAWBARGER, Norman "Bert"

Bert Grawbarger died peacefully at Eastholme Home for the Aged, Powassan, on Tuesday, January 7, 2014. He was in his 95th year.  Bert was predeceased by his wife Winifred (nee Hope) (1919-1999). He was the beloved father of Vivian Ann Young (G. Jeffrey) of Duncan, BC, David J. Grawbarger (Cherita) of Calgary, AB and the late Brian W. Grawbarger (1947-2004) (Marcia of Restoule). Grandpa will be forever remembered and honoured by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Bert was the dear brother of Gilbert Grawbarger of Restoule and Joan Lamb of Enniskillin. He was predeceased by his siblings Edith Stevenson, May McVeety and Beatrice Hummel. The Grawbarger family will receive visitors at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Powassan on Thursday, January 15, 2014 from Noon until 1:00 pm. A Legion Tribute Service will be followed by a Memorial Service.  If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, St. Mary’s Anglican Church or St. Alban’s Anglican Church would be greatly appreciated.
