After a courageous battle with cancer, on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at his home in Trout Creek. Melvin Grasser was the beloved husband of Alma (McConnell) of Trout Creek; Father of Tracy Carr (Tim) of North Bay, Ted Grasser of Georgetown, Terri Rich (Dean) of Cambridge and Trevor Grasser (Kim) of Mississauga; Grandfather of Holly (Jason), Brittany, Taylor, Cody, Zachary, Hunter and great-grandson Brandon. Melvin was the dear brother of Marlene Busch (Evan), Rhonda Mullen (David), Joy Ann Eckensviller (Glen) and brother-in-law of John Lingenfelter, all of Trout Creek. He was predeceased by his parents Rose (Hummel) and Bill Grasser, his sister Lorraine Lingenfelter and an infant daughter Maryann. The family will receive visitors at Melvin & Alma's home on 273 Hummel Line, Trout Creek, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 17, 2008. A celebration of Melvin's life will follow on the lawns of his home at 3:00 pm. Interment of ashes to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
