Al Grasser died peacefully at Lady Isabelle Nursing Home, Trout Creek, on Friday, December 7, 2012. He was in his 79th year. Al was the beloved husband of Donna (nee Smith) of Powassan. He was the loving father of Calvin Grasser (Melanie) of Utopia and Marilyn Degrechie (Fred) of Calgary, Alberta and grandfather of Kelsey and Jenna. Al was the dear brother of the late Jacqueline Kunkel (the late Bill), Margaret Kunkel (Cletus) of Callander, Russell Grasser (Lorraine) of North Bay and Pat Rathwell (Reg) of Moncton, New Brunswick. Al was the well known owner/operator of Grasser’s Service Station in Powassan (1974-1994). At Al’s request, immediate cremation has taken place. Friends and relatives are invited to a Memorial Gathering at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, on Monday, December 10, 2012 from 10:00 am to 11:30 a.m., with a Celebration of Life service at 11:30.
