After a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer’s disease Grace died peacefully at Casselholme on Saturday, March 19, 2011, at the age of 81. Predeceased in 1996 by her beloved husband, the late Dr. William Keech, she was the dear mother of (the late) Catherine, Jane, Michael, Timothy (Cindy), William (Michele), Robert (Suzanne). She will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Shannon, Alexandra, Michaela, Maddison, Elizabeth, Kimberly, Annette, Christine, and John. Grace is survived by her siblings Bill Berry and Jean Beecroft of Toronto and Helene Ball of St. Marys. As well as being a dedicated mother to her six children, Grace had graduated from the University of Western Ontario in nursing and was a dedicated nurse with the VON for many years until her retirement. No visitation or services will be held. Cremation has taken place at Forest Lawn Crematorium with interment of her ashes in the family plot in Terrace Lawn Cemetery at a later date. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or Victorian Order of Nurses would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
